Bernalillo County launched an updated website Wednesday that has been improved for easier navigation, including new content and live, streaming video capabilities. The project cost $245,000, and was nearly two years in the making.
County officials said the improvements were needed to “accommodate a larger, more sophisticated audience.” About 14 million people visit the site every month, up from one million in 2004, when the site was last updated. Visitors to the site now have the option to change font sizes and access Google Maps when they click on county facility street addresses.
“[We’re] proud to present the next generation of [our] public website, which provides a new look and feel, new and improved public services, and, coming soon, a transparency portal for increased visibility and openness,”
Bernalillo County’s previous website was a bit antiquated and was not as user friendly as today’s online visitor demands. This new website will be a huge asset to Albuquerque Realtors and Albuquerque home owners.
